Dual filter technology now
available also in turbulent emitters
The double inlet
concept, first introduced in the ADI pressure compensated drippers,
is now being gradually applied to the whole range of turbulent non-compensated
emitters.
In
this configuration, each emitter has two water inlets, located 180
degrees apart from each other, ensuring that whatever the location
of the emitter in the tube towards the ground is, there will always
be an inlet facing the upper part of the water flow, which is the
cleanest water.
In
this way, there is also always a water inlet away from the bottom
of the pipe, in which dirt and sediments deposit, especially during
intervals in irrigation.
The
first turbulent emitter with this configuration is the Idit
(Integral, Double-Inlet, Turbulent) pictured here. It incorporates
the long, clogging resistant labyrinth so well proven in the Ultra
family of emitters, which it will be gradually replacing.
